Yes, that would work too if you're aware of the bug before it happens.
This is all no longer an issue as  has reverted discoveryd in Yosemite. What mysteries El Capitan holds, I do not know.

couldn't you just disable Bonjour account in Adium before installing 10.10?

Usually its single malt. Although Mandy drinks wine, so I've been learning that recently. I like German, English and American craft brews. Not so much the Belgian that Beer Aficionado's must have. Which means I don't have to jostle for position at Oakland's latest beer mecca.

have you read my treatise on soda? I think its really changing the internet. I mean really questioning the dominant paradigms of how people think about sweet beverages. I think my next entry will juxtapose it with something.
